Richard,
What is the political push for bio energy? There seems to be an assumption that it is the way to go rather than a discussion of alternatives. Conversely, what is the political resistance to geo-thermal? If it's such a no-brainer, why isn't it being seriously discussed and pursued?
Thanks, Chuck

Richard

Aloha Chuck
The world has changed since the plan was commissioned. The basic purpose of the plan which was to develop a renewable biofuel program --is wrong. Lots of us Hawaiians are having a discussion about this. We all know that figuratively, one day; "the boat not going come". This means that one day the price of oil will rise so high that we won't be able to afford anything. As we saw last summer, the most defenselss among us gets hurt the most. There is too much at stake for our children and future generations. We cannot afford "business as usual" Many, many folks are asking the questions you ask. Right now, we are talking to the Hawaiian community. Soon we will have a broader discussion. There are a thousand reasons why "no can". We are going to find the one reason why CAN!!
Thanks
Richard
