The obvious question is: is there sufficient agricultural land in the state of Hawaii to become food self-sufficient? I assume this has been studied, so I am wondering if you have a link to an answer or two? Thanks.

Aloha Scott
We have more than enough land. The problem is that farmers have a difficult time making money. In some cases, even if the land were free, farmers would still lose money.
Aloha for your concern
